UPDATED IN FEBRUARY 2021
If I told you that a town of 66,000+ residents contains 9 breweries, would that surprise you? It used to surprise me, but since the Craft Brewing Craze has been going strong in this American town, I’ve been looking forward to coming back to my summer vacations with a chance to visit a new brewing spot.
So let’s do that Math, that’s one brewery for every 7,333 Missoulians, who I know are always eager to indulge in a brew at a local Baseball game, at a Gallery Opening, at a restaurant, or family function. They even have an eclectic sticker seen around town: “Keep Missoula Beered” and I couldn’t agree more.
Having been married to a Homebrewer for the past seven years has definitely opened my eyes to the world of Sours, IPAs, Stouts, Ambers, Saisons, and everything in between. Heck, I used to hate beer and now I’m eagerly popping bottles with a seat belt buckle (the car was parked of course). And while we’re on the subject of The World is Your Bottle Opener, it really is, especially when the only thing you have is a frying pan or a cast iron pan. What ghetto gadget do you use in a pinch?
In case you ever find yourself in the fine town of Missoula, Montana, you can be sure that any one of these breweries will keep you less than thirsty. Or visit a few simultaneously, while riding this.
